Pattern 1880 Forage Cap
An officer's 1880 pattern forage cap of the York & Lancaster Regiment. The body and top are composed of dark blue melton cloth. The peak is black leather with a row of silver bullion. There is a black lace cap band around the center and a bullion Regimental cap badge. At the top edge is a bullion cord line and on top is a pearl button and lace decoration. The interior is lined with purple silk having the "HAWKES & Co." gold embossed label. With a black storage tin.[1]
