The Partizan Harness is a chest rig of Russian origin.

Overview[]

The Partizan Harness shares many of the same design elements as the Smersh harness but has mesh on the yoke and a distinct gold and green color of the avizant material. Each Partizan Harness consists of a belt, inner belt, yoke, butt pack, and two magazine pouches. Magazine pouches could be for the AK, SVD, or PKM. Other optional pouches include; VOG pouches, PM holster, and a radio pouch.

History[]

The Partizan Harness was used exclusively by the FSB from 2003 to 2006. Most notably at the Beslan school siege. It was produced for a short amount of time from 2001 to 2004 until SSO decided to develop only the SMERSH rig rather than both simultaneously.[1]
