Overview[]
Variants[]
Rank and File Boot[]
There are few variations of the rank and file M1983 kubinki. The boots are black and have four lace hooks in addition to three eyelets or four lace hooks in addition to four eyelets. Generally, the variations consist of quality made boots and others of inferior make. The quality boots have the characteristic reinforcement bridge while the inferior ones lack it. Another difference is that the quality boots have horizontal lines running across the side of the sole and heel while the inferior boots lack the lines. The most significant difference is in the toes, the quality made boots have a firm and wide toe giving enough room for the toes of the wearer while the inferior boots have narrow and softer toes which deprive the wearer's toes from room. The quality boots also have the heels rivetted with two nails from the inside of the boot.
Officer Boot[]
The officers M1983 kubinki are essentially the same as the rank and file boot except the coloring. The boots and laces are brown.
Ankle Boot[]
The ankle boot version of the M1983 kubinka are essentially the same as the rank and file boot differing only in that they are of the short ankle boot type similar to the old Cintarka type. The ankle boot design was fairly outdated by the 1980s and the M1983 kubinka ankle boot is probably one of the last of this design to be ever produced.
