The KLMK Camouflage Coverall (Kamuflirovannyy Letniy Maskirovochnyy Kombinezon), In Cyrillics;Камуфлированный Летний Маскировочный Комбинезон, meaning Camouflage Summer Deceptive Coverall, is a camouflage over-suit of Soviet origin.

Overview[]

The KLMK was developed to provide more effective concealment from night vision devices by NATO countries. The suit is one piece and reversible with solnechnye zaychiki (sunshine rays), now known as berezhka (birch) or serebryanyi list (silver leaf), camouflage pattern on one side and a grid pattern on the other.[2] [3] The inner grid pattern is meant for evening or night time. [4] A facemask is also included with each suit. The suit was to be worn over top of uniforms such as the M69 or M88. However, many examples can be found of Soviet troops wearing the KLMK without another uniform underneath. Particularly in hot locations.

Three sizes are available:

Size 1. 160-170cm height.

Size 2. 170-180cm height.

Size 3. 180cm+ height

The sizes are only measured in height. As a result KLMK suits will be baggy on most wearers which enhances the formlessness masking effect of the suit.

Modern reproductions meant for commercial sale are also produced of this suit. These can be easily identified by features such as zippers, polyester material, and the lack of the interior grid pattern.
