The 6B47 is an aramid/Kevlar helmet of Russian origin. As part of the Ratnik program, it is the new standard issue helmet for most of the Russian Armed Forces, and most of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
Overview[]
The 6B47 is an aramid helmet similar to previous generation helmets such as the 6B7-1M and 6B27. It has equal protection but weighs slightly less, floats in water, and has mounting equipment for lights and night vision devices. The helmet can be fitted with a variety of covers for different environments.
It can be modified into a makeshift high-cut helmet.[3]
History[]
6B47 Helmets were in use by Russian forces in the Syrian Civil War,[4] and are currently used in the Russo-Ukrainian war.[5][6]
